A No. 8 Farm Tour gives visitors an insight into the rural essence of New Zealand in comfort and safety.  With farming being such an integral part of Kiwi culture, an opportunity to experience this way of life is one that shouldn’t be missed.

Walk over a typical New Zealand farm, through a shearing shed and watch sheep being shorn. Witness the two predominant breeds of New Zealand farm dog, the Huntaway and the Eye Dog, in action and get up close to farm animals.

Enjoy a traditional New Zealand smoko in a country setting.  View the afternoon’s milking take place, as and when it usually does.  Feed deer and learn how the New Zealand deer industry has become the world’s largest exporter of venison.

All tours include a historical insight into the colourful past of the Bay of Plenty region.
